My primary goal is to gain insight into the genetic factors and molecular mechanisms underlying age-related complex neurological disorders, in particular cognitive decline and dementia, and Lewy body diseases. Currently, our research program employs functional genomics approaches to studying non-coding regulatory variants within disease-associated regions in the human genome, with focus on Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.
