Researchers in the Joseph and Kathleen Bryan ADRC are taking an entirely new look at what may be causing cell death in Alzheimer’s disease. Instead of focusing on the plaques and the tangles, Dr. Carol Colton’s laboratory is focused on the microenvironment to the neurons, the microglial cells which provide support and are important in brain immune function
