The MURDOCK Study  (Measurement to Understand the Reclassification of Disease of Cabarrus/Kannapolis) is based in Kannapolis, NC.  It is a “longitudinal health study to reclassify health and disease using advanced scientific technologies, expertise from Duke researchers and collaborators, participation from the local community, and a network of strong partners. Ultimately, this study intends to identify linkages across major diseases and disorders that are some of today’s leading causes of illness and death.”  One study within MURDOCK is the Memory and Cognitive Health Project which is similar in design to the Bryan ADRC PREPARE study. The MURDOCK project has both registry and biorepository components.  Data from it will be combined with that from PREPARE resulting in a larger data set for analysis.
